The RADIANT Study

We are pleased to annouce that we have secured funding from the Women's Health Research Translation Network, via a Coproduction Grant, to progress the first phase of the Body Positive Birth program of research. The RADIANT study will commencing in July 2023. We will work with pregnant women and new mothers who live in larger bodies, to understand their experiences through photos, stories and artefacts. We will also interview health care professionals involved in maternity care who practice in destigmatising ways. These data will be synthesized and considered in the context of existing literature, to inform a consensus-generating activity in 2024. In the consensus generating activity, we will create a set of Best Practice Principles for providing maternity care to larger bodied women, co-produced by women, clinicians, and other key stakeholders.
